First gear lockout kit — locks out 1st gear on the VAG 02M / 02Q gearbox. Required for serious drag and time-attack builds where launching in 2nd is preferred to protect 1st gear at high power.

02M/02Q First gear lockout
Don’t risk the dreadful money shift (1-2-1) which results in catastrophic failure of engines and gearbox’s.
This lockout stops your shift fork from being able to go across into the 1st gear position. You just simply pull on the lever to engage 1st gear and release once it’s engaged. When you shift into 2nd, the lockout pin will release preventing the fork to go across back into 1st gear.
