Pro-Race Engineering is a UK-based race engineering company specialising in high-performance engine builds, custom machine shop work and performance parts development. From our workshop at Unit 1 D Little London Farm in Maldon, Essex, we build engines that compete at Santa Pod, on circuits across the UK and on the road in some of the country’s most-tuned cars — everything from VAG 1.8T 20V and 2.0 TFSI EA113 builds, to 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder TT-RS / RS3, VR6, R32, Honda K-series, Toyota 2JZ-GTE, Nissan SR20DET and RB26DETT.
What we do
We design, build and test our own range of motorsport components — including our 144×21 / 144×22 / 144x23mm I-Beam rifle-drilled connecting rods for VAG 1.8T, 2.0 TFSI EA113, EA888 and 2.5 TFSI TT-RS, billet 4340 main caps for ALT 1.8T, 06A 1.8T, VR6 12V, R32 24V and Vauxhall C20XE, Ultimate / Standard / Budget girdle kits, ductile and superductile dry sleeves and PRE-spec stud, bolt and pulley kits. Every part is engineered in-house, proven on our own race engines, and only released for sale once we’d trust it on a customer’s build.

Workshop services
Our in-house machine shop carries out wet and dry sleeve installation (3-cyl, 4-cyl, 5-cyl, V6, V8), block honing and decking, line-bore work, full bottom-end rebuilds and complete engine builds — from a stage 1 refresh through to a 1,000bhp+ time-attack or drag build. Lead times confirmed at order.
