Mini R56

The R56-generation Mini Cooper S — built around the BMW/PSA Prince N14 and later N18 1.6 turbo — is now firmly a tuner’s car, and a well-known sufferer of timing chain wear, carbon build-up and lower-end stress at higher boost levels. Pro-Race Engineering can supply the right parts to fix and strengthen R56 motors: King main and big-end bearings, OE-spec timing chain kits, ELRING crankcase gaskets, head gaskets and ARP fastener kits sized for N14/N18.
