Pro-Race Engineering V8 bottom end rebuild service — full strip, ultrasonic clean, crack-test, hone, deck, line-bore and reassembly with new bearings and seals. Carried out in our UK workshop on customer-supplied blocks (Audi 4.2 V8 BCY, 4.0 V8 TFSI BiTurbo, Mercedes AMG M157, GM LS V8 and similar).

Service-only listing — collection / drop-off at our Colchester workshop. Lead times confirmed at order. Pair with our forged rods, pistons and ARP fasteners for a complete built V8 bottom-end. Payl8r 0% finance available on services over £500.

Description

Please note: This is a standard price only, additional charge may be required dependant on setup time & any extra machine processes or parts required.

As part of your bottom end build we will complete the following

  • Remove all oil gallery plugs
  • High pressure steam clean the initial residue from the block and again in between most processes
  • Paint the block from a selection of stocked paints (others available upon request but may incur a surcharge)
  • Gap piston rings
  • Check all clearances on main and big end bearings
  • Check Crankshaft thrust clearance
  • Assemble the full short block
  • Torque all bolts to manufacturers specifications with calibrated and checked tools
  • All core plugs replaced

All machining processes, balancing, parts and further modifications above and beyond normal specifications are non inclusive.
