This is the timing chain for the camshaft chain tensioner. It sits beneath the valve cover and connects the intake and exhaust camshafts together, while riding on the camshaft chain tensioner. If your chain breaks, it can cause major driveability problems and possible internal engine damage. Keep your engine protected from major repairs and replace your noisy or damaged chain.
