The VAG 1.8 20v Turbo (engine codes APX, AUM, AUQ, AMK, BAM, BFV and friends) is one of the most-built engines in Pro-Race Engineering’s history — the platform behind countless Audi S3 8L, TT Mk1 225, VW Golf GTI Mk4, Bora, Seat Leon Cupra R and Skoda Octavia vRS builds. Tough as nails when correctly specced, and PRE has been building 1.8t engines for over a decade.

This is one of the platforms where PRE in-house steel rods have been proven to over 1,000hp — supporting some of the most respected 1.8t race and drag cars in the UK and Europe.
