Description
Stainless 45 degree bend NPS 1 1/4 sched 10, commonly used in turbo manifolds
note: Grade 316 is for marine or plumbing use primarily due to better rust resistance and contains more nickel, and is not compatible to be welded to 321 (a grade much better for turbo manifolds and often used because of its high heat resistance) due to the molybdenum content not found in 304 or 321, a higher number does not indicate a higher quality.
If you are using the exhaust in an application where stainless steel is likely to rust (ie: in the sea) please contact us for 316
If you wish to use Grade 321 (better) or Inconel (better still) we would be happy to supply tube and bends and wire
As a rule, ss304 / 316 will need to be approx 3mm (as these bends are) to be reliable
321 will need to be 2mm wall thickness and will last even longer (as it doesn’t expand as much when hot)
Inconel 625 will need to be 1.2mm wall thickness and will outlast the vehicle if welded correctly, due to it being the most heat resistant and much less expansion at high temperatures
