Upgraded water pump with metal wheel for all chain driven 2.0L TSI engines found in the MQB Mk7 Platform vehicles
The problem with the series water pumps is that the plastic wheel can come loose from the shaft. As a result of this, the water pump drops completely and the engine gets hot. This can cause critical engine damage!
Since this is not uncommon, BAR-TEK have eliminated this problem. This upgraded ‘race’ spec water pump has a sturdy wheel, made entirely of metal! Meaning, you do not need to worry about failure of the water pump.
The pump cover is also completely made of metal, which gives the whole pump unit even more stability.
